Laos Buffalo Dairy – Supporting local farmers and combating malnutrition
A social enterprise that supports the local community by renting pregnant buffalo from farmers to give them extra income. They also work with the community to improve animal husbandry and on a nutrition program to help combat the high malnutrition rates among children.
Why are donations needed now?
Laos Buffalo Dairy's revenue usually comes from tourists visiting the farm and cheese sales to hotels and restaurants. With the global pandemic, tourism has come to a standstill and they have no income. They need your support to keep paying farmers and staff, and to continue to train farmers and work on their nutrition program.
